Battle Plan
The fight stops every few seconds for your orders. Their commander tries every reply and plays the one that hurts you most.
A fight with the same army on both sides that stops every three seconds. While it stands still you give your orders, as many as you like; then the next three seconds play. Each time, their commander tries every reply it has against your plan and plays the worst one for you.

What it trains
Decisions, not hands: where each unit stands, what it shoots, who goes where, and a plan that holds whatever they do. A plan that only works if they play into it is punished; one that holds against every reply scores. Your score is what of your army is left and what of theirs you destroy.
Rated in Micro, the one skill it uses.
The drill
The situation
The same army on both sides, theirs coming for yours. The fight stops before it starts and every three seconds for your orders.
Scoring
Score: what of your army is left plus what of theirs you destroy, in minerals; an even trade is 1,200.
How to play it
- Stopped, the world stands still: give your orders for as long as you like.
- Send the next three seconds off with Enter; nothing can be ordered while they play.
- Their commander tries every reply on your plan and plays the worst for you.

It is the thinking behind every fight in StarCraft II and Age of Empires: positioning before an engagement, picking targets, flanking with fast units and keeping the guns safe.
