Drop Defense

Hold the front. Save the workers. Both at once.

Your army holds the front, two screens from home. Raiding parties land at your two bases, with healers that undo the fire of a guard left to itself. Neither fight waits for the other.

What it trains

The army and the home guard start on two of your control groups. Jump between them, keep the front held, walk workers out of a raid's way and give the guard its targets: the healers first, then the raiders. The score counts what you mined, what is still alive and what you killed. It trains switching your attention and acting fast in two places at once.

Rated in Multitask alone. It also uses Micro, Mechanics and Awareness, which their own drills rate.

The situation

Your army holds the front, two screens from home. Raiding parties land at your two bases with their healers, and the home guard will not stop them by standing there. Neither fight waits for the other.

Scoring

Score: the minerals mined, 100 per worker and 50 per rifleman alive at the end, and every enemy killed at its cost. Leave the front's ring empty for 4 seconds and the run ends, with nothing for the riflemen left.

How to play it

  • The army starts on control group 1, the home guard on 2 (yours to change under Hotkeys). Double-tap a group key to jump there.
  • A raid's two healers undo the fire of riflemen left to themselves: right-click a healer with the guard, then the other, then the raiders.
  • The army stays inside its ring. A crew you walk away from a raid mines again on a right-click on a node.
